Q: What time
will the DJ arrive to my party?
A: The DJ will arrive to the party
approximately 30 - 60 minutes before the party starts.
Depending on the type of package chosen also depends on what time
the DJ will arrive and how long it will take to set up.
Q:
How many songs can the DJ play at my event?
A: Figure each song is roughly around three minutes
long which is about 20 songs per hour. If you have a 4 hour party
and you include the time it takes for speeches and any other events,
you can figure about 60-90 songs at a 4 hour party.
Q:
How far in advance should I book a party?
A: The
sooner the better! You can never plan to far in advanced for a
special occasion. Depending on what type of party your holding you
may want to do more preparation and book the event where you'll have
a sufficient amount of time to work on other things for the party.
We prefer to book your event as soon as possible preferably 3-4
months in a advance, but it's never too late to book a DJ if you
really need someone and we are not available we would be more than
happy to help you find a DJ to suit your needs.
Q:
How do I book a party?
A: You can meet
with somebody personally to go over what your party will be like and
put together a contract, or you can give us a call and we can do
everything over the phone and either mail or fax a contract over to
you.
Q:
What will the DJ be wearing at my event?
A: All
Broadway DJ's come to your party professionally dressed for your
event depending on your needs. If you would prefer more casual
clothing for such events as block parties of company picnics please
inform us. For most party's we usually come in a suit or
tuxedo (for weddings).
Q:
Will there be any games at my event?
A: This is
an option that is totally up to you! If there is going to be a lot of
kids at your party it is always recommended to play some games with
them so we can keep them entertained and you can enjoy the evening
as well.
Q:
Is their a deposit due before the date of the event?
A: Yes a
deposit is due at the time the contract is signed and the rest of
the balance is due 1 week prior to the event. A deposit of
50%
is what is needed. After signing the contract you have 4 days to
cancel without loosing your deposit. If you cancel more that 2
months before your event your deposit will be fully refunded as
well. If you cancel between 1-2 months before your event you will
get 1/2 of you deposit refunded. Any cancellations within 30 days
of your party there is no refund. To postpone a party it must be
within 4 months of the original date and the date must be available
on our calendar, once another date is set you can use your deposit
towards that date. If a party needs to be rescheduled within 30
days of your event there is a $50.00 service charge due to the
hassle of working around other parties and getting somebody to do
that day for you. You may have 1 rain date listed in the contract
and if a rain date does occur there is a $100 surcharge for the
backup date due to the fact there was no party on the original date. If a party's date is changed for whatever reason including rain you are not
guaranteed the same personnel for who will be
DJ'ing that party.
Q:
Who will be DJ'ing the event?
A:
All of our employees at Broadway DJ's are
professionally trained DJ's that all have the experience that is
needed to make your party great. If you would like to request a
certain DJ to perform at your event.
Q:
Are their different packages available?
A: Yes their
are different packages available from simple PA announcement setups
all the way to fully loaded systems with lighting trusts and

Q:
How loud will the music be?
A:
The music level will depend on the location of the
event, and also depend on the crowd as we have to work around making
everybody happy.
Q:
Will songs with any curses be played?
A: No songs
with curses will be played at any event however we do have unedited
versions available upon special request prior to the date of the
event.
Q:
Will you take requests at the party?
A: That is a
question that is totally up to you! If yes we
will take requests at your party and we will do our best to make sure
that they get played at the appropriate time and don't empty out the
dance floor. Also for some events some
songs are inappropriate and will not be capable of being played
depending on the crowd.
